Laser Direct Structuring Additive LDS
Chemical Technical Data Sheet(TDS)
LDS Principle
Traditional plastic components require additional processes such as metal welding to achieve electrical functionality, making it difficult to achieve miniaturization and high precision. The LDS additive enables plastic components (such as mobile phone antennas) to attain electrical interconnect functionality directly through laser engraving and chemical plating, allowing the plastic products to achieve miniaturization and high precision.
Features of LDS-PBT
- Significantly higher laser engraving precision compared to infrared laser-engraved products.:
- Fast laser engraving speed.
- High precision of the formed interconnect circuits.
- The circuits formed after chemical plating are stable and robust.
Function of LDS-PBT
The primary function of LDS-PBT is to facilitate laser engraving on plastic components, forming high-precision interconnect structures, and achieving high-speed chemical plating capabilities.
Applications of LDS-PBT
LDS-PBT is commonly used in mobile phone antennas, automotive electronic circuits, and medical-grade hearing aids. It is most frequently applied in mobile phone antennas, where LDS-PBT can antennas to be directly laser onto the phone casing, thereby reducing the size of the phone.
Suitable Materials for LDS-PBT
